Peterson Energies, global leader in supply chain, logistics, and technology solutions, has agreed a new deal to become Official Data Partner of Aberdeen FC Women’s Team for the forthcoming season.

Building on the progress and success achieved through the company’s support of the Aberdeen FC Girls’ Academy as Official Talent Development Partner, this partnership further cements the Club’s ambitions to continue to develop the women’s and girls’ game in the North-east of Scotland and aligns directly with Peterson’s expertise in data-driven innovation.

A firm believer in the power of data to drive success, Peterson Energies is supporting this initiative which empowers equity in terms of how the women’s team can benefit from technology to improve development and enhance performance.

Gregor Wilson, Projects and Innovation Manager at Peterson Energies, said:

“We are incredibly proud to witness the impact that our partnership with AFC Girls’ Academy has had on the young players and the pipeline of talent emerging for the women’s game. Working with the women’s team to establish this digital approach is a natural next step to support its efforts to ensure equity travels through the club’s approach to developing success.

“As a company which prioritises digital innovation to give experts the insights to make informed decisions, this data-led approach aligns with our values, and we are looking forward to working closely alongside the club in the season ahead.”

As well as investing in the technology set-up, Peterson Energies and Aberdeen FC’s data experts will work together to explore development areas including approaches to analysis.

Peterson Energies’ Lighthouse software suite supports operational control and informs business improvements, with data playing a key role in decision-making processes through tracking, analysis, and optimisation.

Gary Herbert, Business Development Manager at Aberdeen FC, added:

“Peterson Energies continues to be a champion of the women’s and girls’ game in the North-east and this fresh investment is testament to its commitment to support the Club with its continued development in this area.

“Success on the pitch is increasingly reliant on how well football clubs turn information into insight and, with the support of Peterson Energies, data will meet a determination to ensure our women’s team has the analytical support and tailored information required to empower both insight and decision making across the first team landscape and through the academy pathway.”
