Technology and operational expertise go hand-in-hand

Gregor Wilson

Programme Manager

Peterson’s operational technology team spent the week in Den Helder with aviation and chemicals colleagues to refine the final requirements for the Lighthouse apps which they will use in their daily operations.

The first stop was Den Helder Airport to fully understand the requirements for the app which manages safety suits. All safety suits need checked out and assigned to passengers and then returned on the inbound flight. The app will track and streamline this process, along with managing cleaning and maintenance. The team then met with the Peterson Chemicals team to discuss an efficient, user-friendly way to track and process waste designated CCUs.

Gregor Wilson, Projects and Innovation Manager: “This is the difference at Peterson. We can create technology solutions which really align with operational requirements as our teams work hand-in-hand. We’re looking forward to delivering upon these requirements to further streamline processes and operations for our Peterson colleagues and explore how these can further support the wider industry.”

Lighthouse, which is used by and developed with Peterson’s in-house logistics and supply chain experts, is also available to external clients as a Software as a Service product, ready to deploy in as little as a day.
