Peterson Energy Logistics secured the Technology & Business Innovation Award at the Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards 2024 hosted by Scottish Renewables.
Lighthouse, its ecosystem of software which digitises the end-to-end supply chain, was recognised for how its applications identify efficiencies which are having a direct impact on environmental and cost efficiencies in the sector.
Jaye Deighton of Peterson said:
“Innovation lies at the heart of our business and I’m so proud of the team and everybody that’s been involved in creating the systems and technology software we have today. We are extremely proud to have won this award, especially as the competition from the other finalists was so fierce.
“Lighthouse has been delivering transformational results for our clients since 2012, and we look forward to evolving the suite further to continue to meet business and customer needs across the entire energy sector.”
By streamlining operations, reducing asset downtime and improving vessel deck utilisation, Lighthouse has demonstrated up to 32% year-on-year savings on the cost per tonne of cargo transported offshore, which for one customer equated to a 22% reduction in CO2 emissions.
Peterson was also shortlisted for the Sustainable Supplier Award, recognising its drive to accelerate the energy transition. The company was the first energy logistics business to be granted carbon neutral status in December 2022 and is committed to continually improving business practises to achieve its own sustainability targets whilst supporting clients in reaching theirs.
Peterson’s joint venture company, Coast Offshore, sponsored the Best Practise category of the awards which was presented to Montrose Port Authority on the night. Coast Offshore, which delivers integrated solutions to the offshore wind sector, recognised Montrose Port for its ‘Plug Montrose’ shore power facility, allowing energy supply chain vessels to decarbonise their operations while in port.
